Features of the xTrack WMS Starter application

Master data management

There are lists of items and partners that serve as the basis for all other operations. Items can be configured as having an expiration date or as items that need to be tracked from receipt to delivery using serial numbers. These lists can be imported from external sources such as Excel files or ERP applications.

Integration with ERP or Online Stores

There is a set of standard messages that can be interfaced, provided that the ERP applications can allow a standard connection with external applications. There is a list of such supported applications.

The messages exchanged between the two applications, xTrack WMS Starter and the external applications, are:

  • List of items
  • List of partners, suppliers, and customers
  • Inbound goods
  • Outbound goods
  • Stock for platforms, online stores

Goods receipt

It is done by entering an inbound order that includes details about the supplier, items, and quantities. This order can be imported from an Excel file or from an external application.

The actual receiving is carried out by scanning the products and specifying the quantities. If there are products with a batch number or serial number, these are entered during the receiving process on the handheld terminal or on a phone with the Android operating system.

The phone’s camera can also be used for barcode scanning.

If there is an interface with an ERP system, the receiving results can be sent to the ERP.

Upon completion of the inbound order, a goods received note (GRN) report is generated, containing details about the quantities received versus those in the order or the customer’s accompanying document.

Inventory

It is a simple operation involving scanning all items in the warehouse and specifying details regarding serial or batch numbers.

Inventory can only be performed after all inbound or outbound orders that have been initiated are processed. If there are pending orders already entered into the system, the inventory operation can be started.

Deliveries

Similar to receiving, deliveries are made based on outbound orders that are entered manually, can be imported from Excel files, or can be imported from external applications, such as an ERP.

A work-in-progress order can be selected by the warehouse operator, who then identifies each item to be delivered. They confirm the preparation of these items by scanning them and entering the quantity shipped. If it involves serial numbers, the serial number is also scanned. For items with batch numbers, the user is guided to the oldest batch in the warehouse. As with receiving, delivery documents such as a packing slip are generated.

Cash registers

To simplify application use in stores where inventory can be managed through supplier receiving with a terminal, the delivery of goods can be processed automatically by receiving data directly from the cash registers.

These can send information about what has been sold from the store, and thus the stock is automatically reduced after each fiscal receipt (bon fiscal) is issued. In this case, it is no longer necessary to scan the delivered products using handheld terminals as well. For return deliveries to the supplier, scanning the items will be required.

Courier integration

To simplify the process of issuing AWBs (air waybills) when the delivery information is correct, the AWB generation module can be used to automatically create them upon completion of the outbound order.

Reports

The reports available in the application are:

  • Goods Received Note (GRN)
  • Delivery Note
  • Current Stock
  • Stock Card

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
